I’m Whitney Sargent

I’ve been leading large teams in the corporate space for more than a decade. I’ve seen first-hand that the organizations that put their energy into nurturing and developing their employees obtain the best and longest-lasting results. THE FOUR STAGES OF TEAM DEVELOPMENT

As a group of people come together, they will go through four specific developmental stages: forming, storming, norming and performing. During this workshop, we walk through each of these stages to understand your organization’s history, your company culture, and how we can equip your team to perform at the highest level.

Forté Communication Assessment:  

The Forté Assessment is the premier communications profile to gather insight on maximizing your team’s productivity. As a certified Forté practitioner, I’m able to give each of your employees a detailed understanding of his or her own communication styles.  We then bring your team together to assess how each individual’s communication style can best be integrated within the context of the team as a whole.

Developing Cross-Training Matrices:  

Have you ever been blindsided when a key team member left, and you were forced to find a replacement for a specialized position? Cross-training your team ensures that each employee has his or her own specific role but is also able to step in and cover at least one other key team member’s duties. This removes much stress and pressure from your organization and allows you to make measured replacement decisions should you unexpectedly lose a team member. I’ll walk you through how to determine which of your employees are best suited to cross-train for alternate positions so you limit your company’s exposure and risk.

Your team Mission and Vision must be defined to achieve your company’s goal and ensure that all employees are moving in the same direction. This workshop will help you clearly designate these core company values and ensure that your team is on board with fulfilling them.

What gets measured gets done. We’ll craft your Key Performance Indicators in a way that aligns with your company goals and mission. Then we’ll ensure that each team member has a clear understanding of the key metrics in his or her role so that you stay on track to consistently hit your desired targets. With this training, you’ll eliminate questions on whether an initiative has been “successful” by setting clear parameters on the front end.

Optimizing Your Virtual Team:

In the modern world, nearly every business has a virtual component to its team. When you’re not able to see your co-worker face-to-face, new issues arise. Effective communication skills become even more important than they would be in a traditional working environment where all of your employees are in one physical space. This training will help you navigate the special challenges that come with leading a virtual team and create company norms to ensure each team member is contributing to your ultimate success. Virtual teams can be just as effective as in-person teams, but they do require more nurturing and transparency to be effective.

How long are your corporate trainings?

Each individual training lasts approximately four hours. You may also choose multiple trainings to deepen your team’s learning experience. Training experiences of up to one week in length are available.

 

Can you customize a training specifically for my organization?

Absolutely. While each training includes delivery of multiple pre-established key points, I communicate with a leader in your organization prior to your seminar or workshop date. Every training is crafted specifically with your team, vision and mission in mind.
